Precious Things - Finding love

This is a story about love and loss. When I was a little girl my grandfather discovered a beautiful gold heart pendant with a ruby in the centre while digging over his garden. He gave me this pendant and I loved it. I often wonder who it originally belonged to, how long it had been lost in the earth, and how heartbroken they must have been to lose it. How many other precious things have been lost in the garden and how long does it take for these pieces to be unearthed and loved again.

 And as for the snails… One cute little snail mysteriously arrived on set and as I watched it exploring its new playground, I realised how lovely the small details are. They weave their way throughout my images and tell their own love and loss stories.
