Short stories - Gate crashers

Fresh, Explosive, precious and uninvited guests share the same space. Together they create harmony and balance.

While creating this series our friendly snails lived in a terrarium in my studio. The snails had a happy earthy playground with branches to crawl, a house to hide in, mineral water to drink. I gave them plenty of fresh food to eat, but the higlight for them was when food stylist Jo Wilcox was working in the studio with me on a commercial job. She would bring extra fresh veges and baby spinach plants for them to snack on. They  became part of the studio family and lived the high life and were always so happy to join the fun on set when the time was right. At the end of my series, the snails were returned to the garden for Christmas.
